our New Tucker 48 makes a great crossover from American Classic to contemporary custom. After all, Preston Tucker, and Alex Tremulus were hot rodders, and the forward thinking design shows that.

The 20" billet wheels were machined to mimic the profile of the original hubcap. they bring the car right up to date, and look killer.

as exciting from the rear as it is from the front.

Put wide whites, and stock hubcaps, and the car goes right back to 1948.

Here is a photo of Rob's Grandfather Joe Ida. He stands in front of his Tucker Bros. showroom in 1947. He was fortunate enough to have two Tuckers on display in his showroom for a short time, one in which he drove the Rockerfellers in at a parade in NYC.

Though he lost his money that he invested in the venture, he never lost faith in Preston Tucker and his car. He raised his son Bob, and Bob raised his son Rob to appreciate the car and its mistique.

Fifthy years later, the passion for the Tucker still burned for the three generations of Idas, and that is when they set out to build a New Tucker 48. One that can be driven on a regular basis, with modern safety and comfort features, but still retaining the look that made this car so unique.

As a show of support from members of the Tucker family, we were invited to Preston Tucker's home town of Ypsilanti MI, to make the car's debut. In this photo, the car is parked in front of Tucker's cafe', formerly Miller's cafe' as shown the in the movie "Tucker: The Man And His Dream".

This photo shows our New Tucker 48 parked in the driveway of Preston Tucker's home. This is the actual home that was portrayed in the movie. In the backyard is Preston's shop, in which he and his crew created the prototype "Tin Goose".

During our visit, we met many of Preston's friends, who fondly recall the days in which the project was going full tilt.
